Ellie O’Shea, painter in oils of British wild animals, also coastal scenes. She studied Fine Art at Maidstone College of Art between 1958 and 1962 gaining a scholarship to the Royal Academy Schools under the keepership of Sir Henry Rushbury, and later Peter Greenham. During her time there she won the Murray scholarships for landscape as well as the Landseer prize. In 1970 she moved to Cornwall as a practising artist. She was also engaged in art antique restoration. Exhibiting mainly in Cornwall, her work is in numerous private collections. In 1997 she came to Dorset and settled in Sturminster Newton. She exhibits regularly during Dorset Arts Week and also shows her work at the Angel Lane Gallery in Shaftesbury as well as at the Sadler Street Gallery in Wells.
